just spent a therapeutic couple of hours in the garage tinkering. sorted out the clutch and throttle cable runs to be a bit smoother and neater, had a look under the tank / around the engine+carbs and in the airbox for the first time since I've been running it (no surprises thankfully and the filters are still mint) and replaced a few manky fasteners with stainless ones. oh and cleaned and waxed it :grin:

from my limited research it either gives improved turn-in or enables a 17" rear wheel to be fitted. was only £30 and looks brand new so worth a go :grin:

You dont need the jack up to fit the 17" wheel, the jackup linkage is just used to compensate for the loss of height with the smaller wheel.
