No - exactly the same function.

NC30 HRC CDI are rarer than a straight politician...

This box is just a std top speed derestrictor

how about getting the engine blueprinted and ported by someone like RLR?

i think these are most of the things the guys on here would want done to there 400,the oil cooler is easy done(depending on what way you wish it to work,oil/water easy,oil/air a little harder) the 433cc motors are well worth it (so i'm told) but you need to get someone who really knows about these bikes and has experience of them to build it. the ram air,i think it's probably best for the track as it really starts to work to fast speeds and WOT but i have heard of someone fitting it to a road bike and it got good reports.

heads ported
RVF pistons
RVF cams
hours on the dyno to have it set up to run the TSR's and whatever filter works best
some big F off rads (ricks probably)
and one of ricks fancy pants CDI's to take advantage of the motor work and the fueling

some are easy got ,some not so easy

come on smev,what have you heard that you like the sound of and what really doesn't float your boat ?

I like the idea of blueprinting the engine, but after looking at a rough price list from RLR i'm more than put off!!

Perhaps getting a spare engine and really going to town on it in the future- like the USA guys are doing. 450cc, blueprinted, ported, lightened etc. But at the end of the day the bike is nearly 20 years old! and spares/ replacements will become difficult to get hold of sometime.

Maybe just set up the current engine well on a dyno :)

What I'm not keen on is twin exhausts SP1 style - having a can on the side with the 'open' wheel seems like a step back in design to the NC24 - but thats just my opinion!

+1 to that, to me the whole idea of having the the zorst on the left was to give the wheel on the right good clean look, sp1 style (unless is real high level) kind of spoils it, but they do sound good, and twin stacks are ment to be better for setting up

I think setting you bike up preperly will make it pritty damn quick, but you know you want the ultimate rocking horse shit... flat slide carbs!, now get searching on yahoo japan!

FCR carbs aren't rare, it's the linkages you want.

Which I'm pretty sure g-force are working on, along with carb rubbers.


The question is: will FCR's really make a difference to you and I (that aren't Rossi)?

i know it's xmas and most people are spending more of there time in shops than in garages but have you got anymore done ?

I haven't had a chance to do any more to the bike - atleast its sitting on its wheels - the frame is only partially done and thats the way its going to stay for the next couple of months

I've sold an old exhaust system and my minimoto so will be using that money to get odds and sods - proper chain adjuster, plugs, usual bits and bobs really!

I'm off to Afghanistan for a while so won't be able to do any more work until I return.

As far as I know 'Santa' isn't bringing it any pressies - although I do hear that there might be a nice tool box and tools heading its way!!

we should have a southern area 400gb ride out next spring, iv met about 5 members that live locally so if we can get about 10 that would be a good pack

im tempted for a IOW (pile of shite) TT, sound good? or a trip up to cresent suzuki in new forrest cos there is a coffee shop that looks over the workshop and you can have a butchers at their bsb and gp team bikes apparently
