Didnt read the manual very well did you :spank: the pin that holds the pads together as you say is a allen headed pin which is behind that flat headed screw you cant remove. Use a well fitting screwdriver and some muscle and it'll come out.

yes the first part, the pin plug is the one that wont move.. its stuck solid, so without that removed i cant get to the pin...

Well, as has been said, you have a few options. Big screwdriver, impact driver, or effectively hammer and chisel on the edge of the slot. The first two are obviously the most preferable... lol

hmm i could try and hammer it down with the screwdriver to brake any of the corrosion, and then twist it off, hopefully that will work.

It is going to be a total bastard to get out...so you need a very nicely fitted screwdriver and some strength...or an impact driver and twat the fucker.

My bet, no slight on you at all - it will round and shred itself and you'll have to drill it..

(like I did to my last one!)

Touch wood, I've always been able to remove them with a little screwdriver abuse. However, I did replace them this time around as they were tatty, and one seemed like it was about to tear in half!

i think and impact screwdriver, a vice and a hammer should do it. going to buy one tomorrow hopefully. i dont want to risk drilling the screw etc.
