I gave them a ring and they sorted it out - it seems they picked up the wrong seals for the larger ones.
They'll post it out with an SAE for me to return the unused ones
So it was a mistake and they sorted it

Well that's good at least!! I got some plastech from them this morning but hardly any fluid in the bottle! Email with photo to prove it and they are going to send me another lot! Still not sure how to use it though!
Regards

yeah i had to send the first wrong set back
but when they sent the second set wrong as well, they told me to keep em
result, as iv,e just swapped em with my mate for the 3tj oil filter and 2 cans of carbie cleaner as i'm busy giving the bike it's pre MOT birthday and he's busy servicing a vfr 750 and the seals are 30mm so just the job

Hello everyone unfortunatly I am back..
After replacing the seals and brake pads and a thorough clean, I thought I would do a few races to see if they would free off. Unfortunatly the buggers are still binding a heck of alot (3/4 of a turn with a forcefull spin) I was going to just leave it, but I suppose in some respects although it would be minute it would effect the bikes performance having unnecessary drag.
Any suggestions to which way to go with it? I have tried MarkT's trick by undoing the banjo on the M/C to see if that was at fault and they where still binding. Before putting the pistons back in they where polished on the lathe and came up like new although I noticed some small teeth marks on the ends of the pistons looks like previous owner may of used pliers of some sort to take them out at some point, but I wouldnt of thought that would make a difference as the marks dont really go back into the seals?
I must confess though that the seals I bought where not genuine Yamaha ones but where good quality seals (not Chinese!)
Thanks
