Re: VFR400 rebuild
egay lad. most muppets dont list their dampers with the stroke travel so there s loads just going un-noticed
a little digging and question asking got me some rough messurments of their travel so
lets just hope 1 fits, or they ll be up for sale too lol

Re: VFR400 rebuild
right, so anyone following this you may know i manedged to get hold of 2 dampers but with iffy stroke messurements but they were cheap at 80 quid for the 2!!! sprint ones, exellent condition too! mint! anyways, they turned up and the stroke is a rather big 160mm!?!? hmm, dam lol BUT iv spent the morning fiddling with the location on the bike and reverse is impossible yes!!! but normal fitting i reckon i can just about do it!!!! YAY!!! now i need a fork clamp. i messured the circumfrance and got 130mm radial....is that right!? all the clamps iv seen have said stuff like 41mm clamp!!?? is this the cross section messurement or somin?? can someone clarify what size fork clamp ill be needing, cheers guy

Re: VFR400 rebuild
You just need a clamp for 30 forks, i think they are something like 41mm or 43mm. Rick sells em

Re: VFR400 rebuild
Its measured by the diameter of the fork. I assume you got 130mm from the circumference. However a bit of simple math 130/3.14 ~ 41mm diameter
