Want to try a few new things on the bike but due to it being a race bike i cant use it on the road so today i decided to apply for the documents (HPI'd the frame number to get the reg number and check it was all clear) and get her a daytime m.o.t so i can thrash around my local back roads. That way i wont be wasting expensive tracktime setting up carburation etc.

Ive had some cbr600 calipers and some brackets from Rick Oliver in my garage for a while so got up early today and fitted them. Im running a 5/8" mastercylinder from an earlier cbr600 (non remote resevoir one) but all feels good. Heard great things from Mark about these calipers so cant wait to use them in anger.

They look mint in black
I put a so called day time mot on my last 35 for the same reason but fitted a brake light after the mot through fear of some dumb ass tail ending me.

Fully agree about the brake light mate, i only need a horn for the daylight mot but will rig up a brake light for safety.Drunkn Munky wrote:They look mint in black![]()

Re: Project track dog! Getting less doggy!
Been busy gathering parts over the last month or so and im just about ready to start building a fresh engine
Its still going to be a vfr engine but will be running a lightened/balanced crank, rfv pistons, rvf heads and cams and either my home made HRC nc30 carbs or rvf HRC carbs.
Im also going for total loss so my Rick Oliver GSXR generator will be up for grabs and if funds allow i would like a programmable cdi and a full system.
Had a chat with Greame France today and he said i should be looking at 70 bhp with that sort of spec so thats what im aiming for
