Nice one, Tony! I assume it is standard heat paint. Have you maybe thought about ceramic coating (inside) and powder coating outside?

Here is a pic of my spare TSR titanium half system that I had boxed and stored ages ago...

Its in heat resistant satin black, techcoat i think the brand was and has come out very well. Each piece was taken back to bare metal using a bench grinder wire wheel attachment before paint. I did look into ceramic coating both inside and out but its very expensive.

Correct. It is very expensive. I have paid a visit to a coater located near my contractor two months ago and he does this too next to normal powdercoating etcetera. Finish is very nice.

Just got this off of eBay, paid a bit more than I would have like to, but I was in need of a good condition exhaust system.

It was advertised as "TSR exhaust system", am I right in thinking it is a stainless TSR half system, with standard front pipes (I think I read TSR never made front pipes)? I'm also not entirely sure about the can, can anyone shed some light onto what it is?

Cheers.

IIRC the pipework looks like TSR. Not sure on the can tho. It also looks stainless from the pics. Ti would be greyish turning to blue. If it is TSR, those are stock front downpipes. TSR didn't make front headers.

That's an half system tsr for sure in stainless steel, but the rear cap with the hooks to the springs are tsr but not the sleeve itself...looks resleeved to me. Front is standard/stock.

OK, as I thought with the front downpipes.

How would the have the can originally looked? Carbon/Kevlar?

Like this one? http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k167379493

And if so, would it be fairly simple to get it re-sleeved in that same material?
