Re: eBay 'specials' and other junk finds
My first question is if they brought the bike in 2011, took a year to do that to it, july 2012, spent 5000 quid to do it and are now wanting to sell it for 3000 less than what they claim the parts costNGneer wrote:Another "One Off" with delusions of grandure

1. whats wrong with it
2. what was the point.
This is why my advice to most people is ride it for at least a year before throwing any money at it.
I see this too many times. People start with the bodywork as they want to make it look like a new bike, after investing lots of money and time they usually end up with something a lot worse and costly than what they started with.
I have nothing against well done customs, but these are usually done by people who love the bike, have spent money on improving / maintaining essentials like suspension and brakes and really have a passion for the bike.
Anything done by a 17 year old who wants a cheap new looking bike usually results in disastor.
Theres a famous orange / black bike knocking arund on here somewhere thats exactly the same.
Shame so many bikes suffer this fate >.<

I've bought 4 of these. Clearly the best performance modification ever. EVER!

I think the description for that blade should be something like this "an explosion of bad taste and tat".

this blade if part of biking history, i have the articles written in MCN about it
So an MCN article makes it worthy of the price tag?

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

what is this monstrosity? Also notice the 'baby blade' stickers on the seat panels. Doesn't look to be in too bad a shape to be fair, somebody needs to rescue it!
