Hopefully the 400gb track day will be somewhere you can come then like cadwell.

Changed my fork oil this afternoon. Took the forks out, slackened off the rebound screw on top,removed top, emptied the oil out (nice and grey lol) unscrewed the drain bolt, squirted the remaining oil out. Removed springs and washer and left them upside down for 15 mins to make sure all the oil was out. Refilled with 15wt oil to the correct air gap, put spring/washer back in. Fitted the top back on. Job done, repeated with the other fork. After fitting back to the bike the difference was massive, no po-going, nice and smooth action. An easy job really.

Thought the tank looked a bit out of place, so after a quick sand here it is

Right here she is, in the final stage of work really. Im at Donington on the 11th of July so i need to be happy all is ok. Took her for a quick taz up and down the road, but with the front tyre being new i couldnt test the brakes too hard. Seemed to be ok though, started and stopped so thats gotta be a good place to begin. The steering felt a bit heavy though, maybe its the 70 profile front tyre?
Will just be a case of tweaking as i go along now, although i do have a wish list of upgrades as and if the funds become available.
A front track fairing would be nice, as would a better shock and fork springs. But the main purpose of this was to build a track bike for the minimum money really.
Will post up how the TD goes and if anything gets upgraded.

done a nice job, like u said it'll just be a case of tweaking it as you go along gettin the setup u want.
so the big question is how much did it all set u back?

Total cost £443
£400 for a nearly complete bike, minus fairing and a few other bits (cheers DS)
£8 clutch cable
£4 oil and neutrel leds
£10 tyre changes
£5 gear rod clamp
£6 fork oil
£10 rattle can sprays

just new to this site - good read (don't you just love a happy ending?!)
makes me even more itchy to turn my pieces back into a real bike. gd luck with the track day
