tasty:

DID X-ring VX2 chain and renthal sprocket:

new shocks:

they are an ebay special and look to be very well finished. if i really don't like the feel of them i'll sell them on and buy a pair of ohlins, time will tell.

any exhaust suggestions? so far i have considered a used akrapovic can and having a link pipe made up or a new delkevic can. if anyone has a mint standard exhaust that would be perfect.

Nice, I tried those type of shocks on mine, but wasn't happy with the ride, ended up with these ones

front disks have been sent away for a bit of work, details to follow as and when the front end of the bike is tackled. as for now i have continued on re-assembly. bear in mind that my photography skills have not improved but:

the swing arm, rear wheel and shock assembly has all gone back in:

none of it is torqued or aligned yet, i suspect that the rear wheel will come back out at least once before i'm happy with it. the main aim was to have the rear of the bike supported in order to fit the exhaust down pipes:

shiny!

is there any knowledge anyone can share on huggers and front mudguard extensions? i would like each of them. only hugger i have found is this:

http://japan.webike.net/products/176808.html

anyone have one in the UK before i go ahead and buy one these and set about painting it? as for mudguard extensions (fender extender - i don't like the name particularly as it's an 'americanism') i have drawn a blank - any help appreciated.

radiator assembly and rear bodywork next.

I am glad that you're enjoying it, I'm just sorry that it's a bit slow. I am still working at least six days a week the vast majority of weeks so finding time is not so easy, plus I really take my time over everything, tapping / dieing every thread that doesn't feel exactly perfect, copper slipping / thread locking where appropriate and torquing as per the manual, it's slow old progress!

Anyway yesterday I aligned the rear wheel and tensioned the chain, torqued the swing arm and rear axle and re-fitted the rear bodywork:

I have reached the stage where it looks like a bike again!
