Probably going to measure up for the decals tonight. I think the black hondas I got will be ok. Fire up some time to have a proper look rhory.

Layed out the decals, and sized prints of some of the decals i've ordered. Something is not right, (I know the HRC is far far too small)

The main problem, is I think the red wedge is too big, leaving the white too small for all the decals that should be there. I don't see this as too much of a problem, but I may increase the size of the OKI to balance the colours better.

What do you reckon guys?

I think once the discs, mud guard, Rearsets and indicators all go on it'll balance a lot of things out.

But so far I think it's great. Looking forward to you getting some miles on it now youve done so much work to it

It's not right. I'm a fan of that old measure twice cut one thingy. Made another couple of sizes up.

Biggest one

Image

Think it looks ok, balances out the panel, but alot of the OKI is lost in the curves

Here's the middle sized one, balances the panel better than the small one, and not too much lost in the curves

I think the main issue is the wedge appears too wide, and the left hand, or skinny end of the wedge.

I knew it wasn't going to be easy to but a RC45 Scheme onto an NC30!!

So what do you guys think?

I went bigger again.

It gets a bit lost in the vent. If I could distort the image, so it would make the bottom of the K line up with the O and the I, I think this would be the best solutions.

Can you get vinyl that you can just cut with a knife to shape?

I know I may seem obsessed, but obsession breeds perfection. If I didn't get it perfect, it would nag me everyday.

In the end tonight, I overlayed the the wonky decal with baking paper (cheap tracing paper lol), cut to fit the contours of the panels. Then I traced corners that where correct, and marked them as correct, and drew in corners where the lines of the K should be. I reprinted the paper decal, and over layed the baking paper, with the correct corners lined up. Then I extended the K where needed. It's now a custom decal, for exactly that location on the panel, so the K appears straight. This is more of a proof of concept for me. I think i'll have to take a couple of evenings at it to get it perfect.

I think it looks a hell of a lot straighter!

Great work, that's one of my main gripes with OKI and other RC schemes with a large logo in the middle side panels. There just isn't enough space on a NC but what you've done looks much better, get it finished lad.
