Quick question - what colour paint did you use on the engine casings?

Re: Zippy's RVF
I used this stuff. Pretty good actually. You do need a fair few coats of it though.

I'm looking forward to starting it up pretty soon. I reckon within the next month it'll be ready to roll.

Re: Zippy's RVF
Cheers. What was the colour match like compared to the block's original colour?
Bet that system will sound epic :)

Re: Zippy's RVF
It's not colour matched the rvf engine comes unpainted from the factory, only the vfr engine comes painted and that colour isn't a match.

Re: Zippy's RVF
There's a video of it on Ibby's VFR thread with it running on one of his VFR's and it does indeed sound very nice indeed. Almost as important though it looks the utter dogs bollocks

Re: Zippy's RVF/VFR
My recently returned VFR is now looking like this.

Tyres were past their best so while they're being replaced I took advantage of the wheels being out to get them powder coated in Gold. Have to say the rest of the bike is in utterly fantastic condition. I'll pop some pictures up next week once it's back on the road.
