And where would i start for spring weighst for a 12 stone rider inc kit?

I am not sure whic link Risk is selling , but I got mine from him an it works well.

I would use an adjustable pull arm as this way you can fine tune the wheel rate curve and also ride height/swing arm angle due to the silly single sided swing arm idea.....

If you weigh 76 kg with gear then I would use an 8.5-9.5 Kg spring. Which means you could probably bolt a GSXR or BMW shock straight in and the spring that was on the shock would be close, the valving would be too.

So your only outlay would be for the HRC link and then an adjustable pull arm.

When you say pull arm, you mean the link on the left of this picture yes? Im using a ohlins shock which i belive originated from a early blade as its still fitted with a spring way to soft for a NC but the top and bottom mounts have been changed to fit a NC. So by using the HRC linkage i can keep the softer spring and then theres no need to have the shock revalved? IIRC the shock is adjustable from 305-315mm, so if i set it to 310mm id need a pull arm length of 127-134mm?

Ive seen a couple of those adjustable pull arms but they were made up from rose joints and didnt look that strudy to be honest. have you any pics of your setup?

My adjustable pullarm does use rose joints, there is no lateral force on the pull arm so rose joins are fine.

But if you dont want to use one, use the whole HRC linkage that Rick sells and set your shock to 308 as a start, put your ecentric between 3 O'Clock and 6 O'Clock. and shortnen the shock if your bottom chain drags on the exhaust or top chain on the front of swingarm.

No mate, most people including HRC call them "pull arms" or "Connecting Rod Assy".

Because when the suspension is compressed that rod is pulled, the shock is compressed, and the linkage rocks.

honda list the item you call a link as a cushion arm (ASSY), and the dogbone as a Cushion connecting rod (ASSY).

Thanks i didnt know the pull arm was part of ricks HRC kit i just assumed that was just a stock link. What length is the pull arm that rick makes then?

I'll pull the shock out and check lengths and spring weights later.
