Sorry guys, there are no scraps of 2mm stainless left at the moment. Only the raw huge sheets.

I have an old set of levers that were looking very scruffy so I decided to attack them with the aim of making them lighter and less wind resistant.
The method works for GP bikes so why not mine, that and I was going to throw them away anyway.
Old school cool or stupidly unsafe?

Recently won a new secondhand clutch lever and perch off the bay because it looked good in the picture, seller failed to mention it had been through the gravel in the description though. Which made more work for me.
Anyway, all stripped, painted, regreased and bolted up.
With the nice weather decided to get the temp engine painted.

Also cut the sprocket cover down as per the HRC TT-F3 manual and painted it.
Prep for when the engine is dry and ready to work on

Is that just rattle can paint on the engine? If so it looks pretty neat.

Yeah, its an engine paint that goes to 800 degrees apparently.
Comes out so thick I had to keep cleaning the caps out!

How did you get the engine clean enough to take the paint? Please don't say a toothbrush!

Yep, petrol with paint brush and toothbrush
Then clean rags and a tin of spray degreaser

Im gunna have to get some of that when i drop my motor out. Sounds like alot of work preping it though!

It is a lot of work, but it has to be done to get a good result.
The billet quick action throttle arrived, nice cheap new part and dug out the throttle and clutch cables.
New grips and guards, didn't want to skimp on these tbh
Oil'd, greased, glued and lockwired together
Bit more engine prep before it goes into the chassis. Filter, water pipes and bolts with the threads run through with a tap all done.
Need to sort out the loom now
