Good to hear of your progress with the bike and that you are still loving it. Hopefully we'll get a good summer to enjoy our bikes this year!

fzrtim wrote:Dont worry, the engine doing that is normal. Mine did the same and when the plates are fitted and the rear bolts nipped up it sits just fine. I thought that my frame was twisted at first!
Does that mean that the sprockets will also line up?
I've got my engine fitted with the two rear mounts and have the same clearance "issue" with it flush on the left and a gap on the right, which also means the sprockets are out of line.
I don't have any engine mounts yet, so what thickness should the plates be for each side?

Well, another 9 months and another update!
As we all now, a project is never finished...
I knew that the GSXR4 forks were only temporary due to the pitting in the chrome towrds the bottom of the stroke. After a spirited ride towards the end of last summer, the inevitable happened and the seals started leaking.
So I took the opportunity to upgrade the forks again and fit some '04 ZX6R forks & brakes.
unfortunately it has taken a lot longer than I'd hoped to turn up the spacers needed and I'm still not sure if it will all fit together!
The measurements for the spacers are from a member of the RGV forum, who had put these forks into his RGV. I hope they will fit...
Anyway, we all like pictures, so here's one of all the spacers.
And of the bike stripped and ready for the swap, with one of Kayla's exhaust hangers.
As you may notice, the seat unit now matches the tank, as I prefered the look of the red & white rather than black. But she did look a little strange with a black top fairing... Kayla, again, came up trumps with a red & white top fairing, which is currently sitting in Aylesford at the couriers! So when she is put back together, all the paint will match! Of course, pics will follow.
Hopefully Friday is the day...
Alex.

I always thought red/white was faster! They crash more, my mate went through a phase of having red/white yams and crashed every one!

That would take a bit more engineering expertise than a foxeye engine. Maybe next year!
Fireblade lumps work well too and they can be turbocharged...

You can supercharge the T'Cat engine ... should be good for 120 bhp.

Can that be done to the 4JH Foxeye engine too?
Damn, you've got me thinking and I've got too many projects as it is...
