So are you saying if the exup moves it would be better to swap the whole set of pipes?

It rotates.
Fit the pipes and attach the cables first

Ok I"ll give it a go but I know the bolts in the pipe on the bike now come out ok so even if a bolt snapped on the replacement snapped I would be ok because original exhaust would be ok. Ordered a exup gasket to day guess should have got some exhaust gaskets! Carbs should come tomorrow so I want to remove tank, airbox and remove the left hand lower fairing so I can check the exup servo is working if it's there! Thendepending on time remove the carbs as they will be done Saturday through to Sunday so I won't have to leave the job half done for a day! Driving up to Neil on tues (170 miles each way!) to collect the pipes and a spare servo and he said the pipes only did 5 k and everything looks clean and not corroded.

Thought you had given up on me? But I
Live this bike 24hrs and my head hurts thinking about what I have to do next and if my broken bones allow me to physically let me do it!
Regards
Mark

You need to relax more

I think you have a tendancy to want it all and all at once. Slow down a little, look at what's in front of you and consider it before moving. At the moment your trying to do everything without getting anywhere. Don't worry your bike will run and you'll be happy when it does

Yes I know I am impatient, the mrrs wants me to leave it until we come back from holiday (about 3 weeks) as I am getting so stressed! I do want to check the servo though is it just removing the left lower faiiring and look when I turn the ignition it should move one way then the other?

Thanks you really are a good chap!

yes - but you probably don't have to remove the fairing to see the cables move.

I can look at the loose cables but they don't mover that's why I wanted to take panel off to see if they are attached to the servo.

My mistake get up close to fairing and you can hear the servo, two days off it today and tomorrow and plan to remove carbs on weekend! (they have not turned up yet, were sent first class ties morning can they take three days by royal mail?) don't want to bother Neil again.

Carbs just turned up! Look in very good nick, I can see where the damage is, it is where the choke plastic cable holder is. The cast of the carbs where the cable slider is ha a nut bust off!

Don't know whether to try and fix it or still take all the parts out and rebuild the ones that are on the bile? I guess they all need stripping down and cleaning ? What to you think?

I'll have to get admin to change my forum name to Neil.......LOL!!!!!

As boris has said, try not to fix everything at once. Be slow, methodical and it will eventually get sorted
