@Cammo- I mean when the water temperature gauge is on the colder side, or when the bike hasn't been running for a while. The bike is pretty much just perfect when cold, the 5k spot isn't there and the 3k one is a lot better.
@Hardnutdvd- when you get it apart you'll see the float has a little metal tab on the hinge that presses against a plunger when the float goes in. You just bend that tab to adjust it. The measurement is from the highest point of the float to the base of the metal carb bowl 'gasket surface' . You tilt the carbs to the point where the float flops over onto the plunger. Don't let it compress down the plunger with the weight, just get it to that point where it flops over onto it and hold that position while you measure. At least that's how I understand it, and the change has worked for me. You are supposed to use a calliper but I just used a metal ruler and my eyes.
It's best just to get stuck in there, I didn't have a clue before I actually saw it with my eyes.
