One thing i wanted for the bike was some tank "stomp" grips but obviousley you cant buy a specific kit for the NC so at first i just bought some universal ones from Motrax but these were crap so for my second go i bought a set of second hand (yes i know im tight!) Stomp grips off a new shape Fireblade for the sum of £7 off Ebay.
Abit of trimming later and here they are. Really chuffed with the end result.

Thought i'd post up a few pictures of me and track dog from a Cadwell trackday last month.
Slowly getting faster on the bike but still a long way to go but enjoying it.

And here is a picture to show how much cement dust there was on the track after a novice went out with a cracked engine casing! and yes this was like this on every corner

Bike is back in bits at the mo and the next thing on the list is to finish off my replica HRC carbs.

The settings im going to run first off will be 145 mains, 40 pilots, 4 extra holes in the imulsion tubes and 8ZK needles with maybe a 0.5 shim under them. This is only a starting point using information ive gained from other people but hopefully wont be too far away on my engine.
But having said that the HRC route is a load of crap and looses power.........so you might as well sell the slides to me

You using a carb tray? i hate using them but i guess im gunna have to use one, they make fitting the carbs a frustrating experience. I was thinking of just cutting the scoop bit off and fixing it somehow leaving the carbs free to get to, bollox to the cooling the carbs nosense

What you done with the stacks and that air valve thingy, the HRC rubber boots are virtualy non existant

Yeah using the air tray. Ive got it fitted at the moment but took alot of modifying to make it sit right but a little bit of patients will get it working right.
Having it fitted doesnt make it any harder to remove the carbs if im honest, once the hose clips are at the right angle the tray doesn't get in the way of undoing them.
Ive just cut down the original stacks, they are easy to shape and tapping the air tubes that the proper HRC stacks cover to restrict flow. Ive got some pictures of these on the previous pages.

I get more envious with every pic. I'd say you've achieved your goal of getting it less doggy. It looks awesome and makes me want to paint mine black now.
