Yes pulling the choke in on a running / warm bike will kill it. You'll over-richen the bike and it'll die.

Bewary of using too much choke, the plugs die easy and you'll be wasting fuel.

I try to reserve choke for winter-time useage and turn it off after 15 - 30 seconds and ride the bike gently to warm it up.

I don't think you should need to go to 1.5mm but you could always give it a try. It will be too rich on most bikes.

Are you using a standard air filter??
Done that today but still the same you can rev through it but if you roll throttle it hesitates @5.5k more than with the 1mm shims. I gave it a try it was ony a quick 30 mins to change !!!

Take the shims out all together then and try that...

Got my carbs back from sonic cleaning on saturday.After cleaning all the crystles off fitted her on and she fired up first time. :grin: Going to get the fairings back at the end of the week so just waiting on the wheels now to come back from powder coaters.Carn't wait!!!!
