Damn, you guys are harsh, this is the trickest V-4 Honda on this site, although not a 400, and people are fighting over semantics. To me a "replica" is a stock STREET bike with lights, horn, turn signals, and all the crap, that some jackass puts a "replica" sticker kit on it. Woo Hoo, big deal. RVF assembled this bike with uber-expensive, un-obtanium, genuine Honda HRC race parts. I love the fact that he went with the original issue Showa suspension and not some off the shelf Ohlins kit. Call it what you want, but it's no typical STREET "replica".

On a side note, I have a guy I know, who we will call Mr. Ducati (he even wears red socks every day) and way back when he went straight to the Ducati factory and bought a 1996 Ducati 955 Corse RACE bike with zero miles on it after the race season was up. I have helped him start it up over the years a few times but he has NEVER ridden the bike. Kills me every time I see it just sitting there. He has many bikes that he does ride, so he is not a collector, but this bike has never turned a wheel. He even has 2 Ducati Supermono's that have been raced here in the US. Nice stuff.

ok seeing as i was the guy who started this replica talk and ever since have been trying to stop it escalating, officially no one can say the words replica in this thread and nothing more will be said of the matter!!!!!

but my last comment is that i have seen car racing replicas (lola t70's and chevrons b16's particularly) that owners have spent £100,000+ building and then get grid positions in races with the original's on the reserve lists adn t me that is very wrong! it doesnt matter how much you spnd a re should never be picked over an original with history

o and if anyones interested google those car name, there awesme pieces of machinery that i would kill rape mame to own (ver similar to rvf's rvf then :D )

Oh dear. Certain members of 400Gb have once again shown themselves to be rather silly, the green eyed monster is a very unattractive thing.....

Stephen, I left a CD of the day with Luke if you haven't picked it up already.

well seeing as my first three posts were entirely complements on how good the bike looks and all I have done since is try to apologise for call the bike a 'rep' which was a mistake I understand, its not its just a HRC spec bike, I actually slightly offended by that last post! sure i would absolutly love to own this bike or even own a bike that looked anything as good as this one, but by no means are my comments motivated by jealousy!

just go back through the thread and read all my previous posts and make you own mind up!!!

Not at all. It's just a shame when you know how much time and effort has gone into something only to see that some people feel the need to trash it because they don't know any better. Sure Stephen could have listed the spec but I'm guessing he doesn't like to brag but the comment along the lines of "It's just a rep tarted up with a few HRC bits" is just very sad hence my comment, there's more than just a few HRC bits on that bike hence the 'Spec' label rather than the 'Rep' label. Just as well Stephen seems to have a sense of humour really.

Spike, the dig was not aimed at you.
