Those four bulbs you saw are for the idiot lights below the gauges. For some reason Suzuki hid the bulb for the temp gauge inside the housing. You have to undue the two bolts on the back and then slide it out the front and you will find your culprit.

Re: GK76 Engine overhaul-What do you recommend?
I finally broke the carbs open. I've read about all the issues with the o rings but I admit, I was still shocked by how bad of shape they were in. I'm going to replace both sets of gaskets as well. Somehow I have two unidentified o rings when I was taking out the emulsion tubs. They are very tiny but a little larger and thicker than the o rings for the idle adjust. You can see them in the middle/left by the jet holders. They dropped out before I could see where they came from and they only came out of two carbs. Everything else is accounted for. I did buy the carbs off Yahoo Japan and everything came off real easy so I wonder if someone was messing around with them. Next up is some ultrasonic cleaning for the carb bodies.

If you take a look at at ya picture you will see that there is a o'ring on the underside of the right plastic carb top.
i'd say the two o'rings are from the carb tops. If you need a set of o'rings i can send you some over.

Here is a shot in the dark: does anyone now the correct size for the emulsion tubes?
I had the 4 from the carbs and 4 from a packet that came with the carbs from Japan. They became all mixed together at the ultrasonic cleaning.
set 1 is 714?0-9
set 2 is 643?0-5
Anyone have a clue which is original?
Also where do you see the jet sizes on the mains? I'm not noticing any markings?

Re: GK76 Engine overhaul-What do you recommend?
Maybe I found my answer in an old post. It looks like .5 is the original size so I'm going to assume it is the the part ending in the -5.
I am assuming again that the -9 is a larger size and allows more flow?

Re: GK76 Engine overhaul-What do you recommend?
I gave up trying to find a headlight in good condition so I repaired mine. I know it looks like a 3 year old did it but it had 3 gaping holes. I tried to make it look pretty but it wasn't strong enough and I got frustrated and globbed it on.

I'm working on assembling the carbs and cleaning the rust out of the gas tank.

Ye 0.5 is original, people use parts from the RF as similar so the 0.9 may be RF.
