anyone bought a set of these? seems cheap, my seat lock dosnt work on my ignition and fuel cap key.....

ok guys, you know the 2 breather pipes that are side by side near the top and rear of the carbs, 2 fat L bent ones......would it be ok to connect extention pipes to them and run themm down toward the bottom of the bike??
or will that effect the balence of air and not allow it to work as a breather!? cozz the pipe will no longer be above the carbs but below, will this make a differance? it is a breather right!? not an overflow.

looking to get her MOT next week or 2, got my cbt next week and then my DAS.
also my indicators are flashing too fast, i only have the rears plugged in at the mo though so will that correct its self once iv fitted the fronts? or do i need a lower relay for the hondas 10w jobbys. i dont remember them doing this befor i removed the fronts see.....
need a battery too, to see if it makes her a bit smoother, the battery is old as fook and needs changing, will any old battery do? or can you guys recomend one.
gunna drain the coolent and fit the new pump gasket, got that annoying tiny drip coming from the cover!!! errrhh!!!
think thats about it, my finger is now strong enough i recon to use , was holding off so i can feel confident on using the brake lever lol

Why do you want to fit extension, a healthy set of carbs never leak

thats normal if you only have the rears in as its flashing quick do to there only being 1 attached at a time.

get a recomended varta buy cheap buy twice

i take it rick O sells those batteries lad.... cheers.
the carb question.... havnt taken the extension pipe i put on when i saw the leak...ill try again with it off.
i thought as mmuch too with the indicators, cherrs rick, saves me a few quid on a relay and the time to take the fker apart again if they didnt return to normal speed after putting the panels back on.

I got one. Arrived very quickly. As far as I can tell it's a genuine original article with Honda part number and everything. It includes the underseat lock too, so you don't need to worry about keying that separately.
It included a weatherproof boot for the bottom of the ignition barrel that my NC30 did not have, though I presume that's because the one it should have had was lost sometime over the last 20 years.

Now I've swapped mine on for the old Honda item, it's actually not quite the same.
It looks fine, but the plastic isn't as hard and the inlaid lettering of the original is just printed on the plastic on this copy. I'm happy for now, but might rebuild the old one later.
Sorry if that's a pain for your build.

eBay lockset looks pretty good...
... until you see it next to the Honda one.
It looks like the switch pulls off the lock barrel so I can perhaps make a better looking one by bodging them together, but I have bigger issues on my project.

i still might invest, for 22 quid even if it never gets fitted ill have something shiney.

going to have a go at recovering my seats , rips and old so need doing.....
im unsure what would be best to use? i see some lads choose non-slip felt/suede? anyone do this and can tell me what product i should be looking for?
vinyl is the obvious , but i like the idea of the felt/suede whatever you guys are using
1 question though, after a rain, does the seat soak your ass.
