I'm no expert but it looks very similar to a laser mild steel system that I used to own.
I am sort of expert on this one....and bingo! :plus: I am confident that shown half system is from Laser Jama production based in The Netherlands. I owned such system long time ago, the bends, springs, hooks and finally the connection ring to connect to end can tells me this is for sure Laser Jama. I can share some pictures later. Actually I painted my ex mild steel Laser Jama half system with cheap heat proof dark paint before I sold it back in 2004 to someone in the UK...not many of these sold by Jama, there was no great demand due to rusty/corrosion of the used steel.

I suspect it's an ethos system missing the final 'Y Piece' and end can.
Can any of you marvellous bunch confirm or quash my suspicion?

A very early (old) type Ethos system. Bends not very "smooth" compared to the later types they have made. But the necessary Y-piece will be difficult to source these days in the correct (old) type. Might as well find someone who can fabricate one to your specs/needs.

Cheers Jas,
I was hoping I might be lucky with an 'off the shelf' stainless Y-Piece, then I'll see if I can get my TIGing up to scratch at work to fabricate the rest of the link :? . We shall have to see!

Having bought a few bits and pieces from you on eBay over the years, I find it rather amusing to see that at some point things went full circle and you acquired the former private plate from my NC35 when I got it from a woman in Harlow. I wasn't willing to shell out on it seeing as firstly I was borrowing the money from my parents to buy the bike, and secondly I decided that to me it was a little bit odd describing it as 'big' when the big one was the RC45. She wanted £1500 to keep it when I bought it, hopefully it didn't cost that much. I did see it up on eBay from time to time for that, but it never seemed to sell.....

Not the easiest system to fit but ive had worse, rear headers are just about accessable with a good knuckle joint and the shock removed, a spring fitment to the headers like the HRC setup would have been a better idea.
Its barely done 100 miles and is already turning a nice colour and although the welds are not as nicely finished off as say ETHOS and TSR it has a works type look to it which i like.
Can isnt pictured but is a brushed alloy large bore affair and is loud!
