Hey guys, I am trying to restore my plastics as they are pretty shot, as Ricky(Bianca voice necessary) has spilt the beans on my paint scheme then you know they are the Castrol Honda colours, however I dont know what colours they actualy are, I know it's green, white and red but I don't know what colour shade they are.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Curt.

Your best bet I'd guess Curt, is to remove one of the inspection panels, and take it to a paint place and get it matched that way, it's incredibly difficult to match paint on a custom paint job by looking at a picture like the one you've provided. I say the inspection panel because it's the easiest to remove and carry around with you :)

Thanks Billing but I was after the original colour specs rather than matching mine as it all needs a blow over, as for the inspection panel there isn't one, these are fibre glass replacement covers that split behind the indicators and at the bottom centre line.

VFR400RIIIL
Color: NH 177M
Code: NH177H or N the pic i have is not so Clear?
It's an H (one of my '30s is a Type 4).
As Dobles said, the paint code on the seat sticker identifies the overall paint scheme, but not each of the paint colours used in the scheme. To identify individual part paint codes you generally look in the Honda Parts Catalogue for the bike, where the part descriptions usually include the paint code. But, where the colour is not actually paint (i.e., it is a sticker), it can be very difficult to associate a paint code with a colour. Some colours simply do not exist in paint (at least in OEM Honda paint).
[EDIT: Is this a resurrected thread? I seem to recall commenting on the original post a few years ago--there are some non-Honda codes listed, and some other things were not quite accurate. I had a Japanese office-mate look at my NC30/35 parts books and he translated some of the "mystery" colours for me. I hope I wrote that info down somewhere else!]

Holy fook that's a nice bike.
I'll see about buying one of those for the wife once my RVF is finished.

I want to paint some fairings as close as possible to original colours, without pulling out for RS Paints prices, even if the paint is very good. So does anyone know if there is a known alternative Halfords paint match for the NC30 R/W/B classic scheme? I feel sure someone must have stood around looking dodgy in Halfords for hours trying to match the colours.
edit, actually I just need the red and 2 blues as I still have nh-196 from my last paint attempt on my cbr.
