Got most of my spares sorted now, including a new exhaust for the bargain price of £36 \o/

With the gearing you guy's are mentioning, guess it'd be worth having a full set so would that be 14-16 on the front? and 40-43? on the rear, or a few more?

And guessing when choosing a gearing you aim for it to be hitting the redline/close to it at the quickest part of the circuit?

For the securing in the van I'm currently thinking putting it on the read paddock stand, with one strap to hold it onto the stand and other straps to secure the front and rear of the bike to the 4 mounting points in my transit, that should be fairly secure I think, only issue would be if it somehow managed to flip the stand out from under it? but can't see that happening?

Really looking forward to the rookie weekend now, and then the races afterwards, but still loads to do, need to buckle down and get it done :p

except I use a front wheel support that you can easily remove (more room for the subwoofer then mate...):

Good idea to secure the rear wheel to the paddock stand, I had my stand fall out because it wasn't, have since started securing it.

My stand jumped out the other day,just tied a bit off rope round it.

Yeah, was thinking some rope/strap through the wheel and around the stand to keep the bike on the stand, and maybe some around the stand and through the front wheel to stop the stand from flipping out as well,

not sure the chock would work due to planning to sleep in the van, but been contemplating a tent anyway...

All i use is 2 straps at the front and cable tie the brake and rope up the rear wheel,works fine.
Tents are fine in the dry used one last year for a bit,crap when its cold,wet and had a bad day racing,packing them up is crap.Board your van out,chuck the bike out in a gazebo,get a fold up camp bed,and a night heater much better

Just tie down the front either side at an angle and forward and let the back sit there without a stand, maybe a light rope around the back wheel to stop is skipping sideways.
