Seat unit is from one of the Sabresport YZR500 V4 GP bikes, its the later 2001 seat, I have the moulds for the fairings and seat units

it has no sub frame at all I just had to weld a couple of lugs on the frame.

ok so I have finally done something, only a little bit to the clutch which I know is the thing everyone is interested in. I have machined the last couple of spacer and assembles to clutch without the casing and sorted out the clutch stack with spring pre-load for the slipper part. the main thing I have been working on is the top end. I have finished my 2mm o/s titanium valves. they stated out life as zx10r. that's all for now hoping to get on with the casing some time soon so it will be finished.

Great work hope you get the clutch in action too and interested to see the results of your valves. Will you dyno it to see the difference?

I will be trying it on the dyno but no back to back the only thing I have to compere it to is my standard road bike nc30 which makes 62 at the rear wheel. depending on how it goes I might post the run on here.

stuck with family for a few hours

so some more updates.
the porting to go with the bigger valves and the 36mm carbs aswell

so a standard port jelly

my port shape

the carbs are 34mm vfr 750 bored out to 36 I need to do a lot of work to fit these in the V

the port itself, there is still some welding to do where the manifold bolts on

Can I ask why the huge carbs? What other mods are you doing with them other than the ports?

so when you instal the lager valves you need a larger port to go with, with a larger port you need a larger carb to go with so if you work out the valve curtain area at max valve lift the ratio between this and the carb gross section is the same as a standard one because i have higher lift cams and larger valves.
