As always with these projects, ETA is a moving target. Mike Norman got the flat slides tuned on Mark Elrod's bike last weekend (made 3HP more than my HRC open carbs 8-) ), and now he wants to go back to the exhaust pipe design which will also occur on Elrod's bike. I'm not racing the 400cc classes near year, so we are kind of throwing our effort into Mark's bike right now. I think the plan is to get a working exhaust for Mark to race with next year, which means no later than March 2009.

Bike looks sweet.

I'm not sure if it was asked but, what pipes are those?

I like the Tyga bodywork (except for that tail) but understand it is not to everyone's taste. The RS250 looking kit is nice as well. I wonder if the rule change in AFM allowing modified aftermarket bodywork will have an affect on use of this kit in the USA. Nice update on the progress so far and agree with the other posts about what an inspiration you guys are.

Pipes: They are the MHP pipes I've been using for several years - originally purchased through RLR Motorsports. Here's a link to pictures of them when they were brand new.

http://akhara.com/nc30/mhptonc30/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

RLR now makes their own pipe that is a similar left/right arrangement with similar performance. I'm sure MHP can also provide the pipes and parts as well.

Grandpanot, yes, the AFM rule changes allow us to run any aftermarket bodywork in the production classes now (well at least in 650 Prod which is where is matters). Previously the SV650 had an exception because most SV's didn't come with race fairings. Dave asked them to make that exception for all bikes, and they allowed it. So if I race 650 Production (the old 450 Production) against the SV's, I can run the Tyga bodywork. All in all, a good thing.

It appears that RLR is not having much to do with honda's these days.
