I use Velcro under the seat too, makes it easier to put the battery on charge....however, I have to bolt it up come MOT time as both places I have used failed it as it is not secure.

Thanks for the reply; how did they check this? Did they take the seat unit off or is the velcro week enough you can feel it when pulling the seat?

Although the Velcro is enough to hold it in place it's not enough to hold it down after a short tug...

SO the MOT guy actually grabs your seat and tugs it? Must be giving it a bit to tear that amount of Velcro!

Maybe I need more Velcro, I have two short strips on the sub frame where the seat sits?

Same here, but the Velcro runs for the entire length of the area that is in contact with the frame, also may be stronger Velcro due to being from a roll my mum has for her business.

Just drawn these which hopefully Kayla can make

Go on then Ben - I will bite, what you getting made? ....I was guessing at something like mirror mounting blanks (like these), but your dimensions seem wrong for that

Supposed to be mirror blankers, wasn't deliberately a secret! Which dimension is wrong?

LOL - Ben I didn't mean to imply it was being kept a secret...just my curiosity getting the better of me.
I may well be wrong, and sods law don't have mine to hand to measure for you, but just looking at a ruler the 70mm overall length sems too much. Sorry I don't have a better picture of mine but there was a guy waaaaay back knocking these out (these ones are actually engraved with the HRC logo so +5HP

) If you look at the pictures the overall length is only just over the head of the bolts so if the pich of the hole centers is 30mm as you say I would guess at the overall length being more like 40-45mm and they are also more like 3.5 -4 mm thick.....
......I know they are not NC30 (may fit though) but a quick Google moment found these, which are very similar and may help show what I mean...

Hope that helps - but I am sure that someone else out there has a set of mirror blanks to hand and can give em a quick measure for you.

Ben, why do you want to do away with your mrrors on a road bike? Asking for troble mate. Theyve saved my life more than once!
