The bemsee school weekend in febuary does the acu ctc course aswell as a school day which as a rookie is invaluable

Im poping to the rookie info day in dec to say hello to a few people so will see you all there

Zippy is it your bike tony picked up last week? I did convince him to do a few meetings next year then he wasnt sure, saw him saturday + it seems that hes game on again :)

Im going to try get on to instructing next season on the fridays so give me a shout if you need a hand
I think the afternoon at Brands is just to get the eye tests and paperwork filled out properly then we're going back in Feb for the school day and CTC course. I did a race school but it was back in 1991 so probably not valid now anyway, besides I'd want to do the school day regardless.

Tony picked up 3 bikes last week of which mine was one of them. I'm hoping he's going to be on an NC30 though as it'd be good to be on a level playing field with someone. ;)

Yes thats right 8th dec is from 12.30, an information day + can fill out forms + eye tests, meet some riders etc, good day

yes he said he had a busy week last week, dont worry about him being on an nc30 theres always someone on a level playing field, I won the sub 64 this year on an nc30 so it shows anything can win

Yea i remember you saying it had gone, Whats the craic with that? was the TS spec sheet for a different motor or had someone stripped it for the nice bits?

Same motor as the spec sheet, well same cases but everything had been robed from it but on the plus side it was a 440 big bore motor and still had tuned heads so still pretty fast.

Dont think im going to be on a NC30, i finished stripping it down tonight and its too good and original to turn into a racebike.

Unfortunately it was me who had to give the bad news, I had the job to do a rebuild on it

firstly I noticed the heads were stamped by some other company, on removal of the cam covers I noticed the cams were not shimmed up so I feared the worst as that usually indicated no head skim, removed a head + they were 58mm pistons, its either gone pop in the past or someones seen the opportunity to keep hold of some trick bits or even someone didnt know quite what they had + had a 440 built disxarding the kit parts

That is bad news indeed, really must have been a let down to find that out. I remember reading the original Honda britain build thread and thinking how cool it would be to have a motor with proper HRC bits inside.

So what are you going to get out there on mate? Still got that Race FZR SP?

Get that NC30 turned into a race bike, there's plenty of good ones out there anyway and at least you know what your starting with is is good and solid.
