You've destroyed the bike completley, not forgetting lowering its value faster than the greeks are doing.

Does value matter if he's keeping the bike? If he decides to sell, he can easily put it back to OE colours.

I don't personally see how changing a colour scheme equates to "completely destroying" the bike.

You and the other purists need to chill the smeg out Neo. It's HIS bike and he can do what the fcuk he wants with it. It's NOT in YOUR garage so why the fcuk does it matter to you?

I'm with Thunderace (generally) although not quite as steamed about it perhaps. ;)

Even though I don't like the paint scheme, I can't get offended by what someone else does to their own possession. What the guy needs is positive, constructive criticism about how to get good results and maybe learn for the next time.

My opinion is that it's perplexing to me how much people care about appearances. It doesn't affect performance whatsoever and yet people spend hundreds of pounds of paint jobs! Of course it's their choice but to me, every honest penny is going on performance and efficiency and the bare mimimum is gonna be spent on looks. The fairings are the first thing to get wrecked if you bin it down the road!

Yet I understand that others have earned a lot more money than I have and want their machine to look nice. No probs with that. But c'mon, let's be a bit more positive and a bit less arsey to the guy. Gawd knows he gives us plenty of ammunition on the mechanical side!

Never mind the paintwork, OP, did you figure out why your plugs looked as if they'd been trodden into a muddy pool of water?

the plugs have been replaced if you guys didnt already figure that one out. and the value is only degrading for "Purists" as a normal guy who prefers looks over OE. would pay MUCH more on a modernized bike than an 20 year old looking bike.... i like what ive done, and hardcore purists dont... but dont tell me that ive completely destroyed the bike... it may look like ive destroyed to bike to the eyes of "purists" but not in my eyes.. so be positive like some of the members have.

Actualy you will find that parkers used bike price guide that says that it is degrading to the value,

But then again...what the fcuk would they know about the pricing of used bikes
