The headers/collectors hang over half an inch below the fairing

if it's fairly central you can 'v' out the belly pan, wont affect the clearance whilst cranked over but will alloe you to put the belly pan in.

Not quite that simple, I can't get the front of the lower panels to meet with the headers in the way. At least not without cutting more of the panels away.

that's a bugger! guess you could shorten the pipes on the down section, wouldn't look too pretty though i guess, but might be cheaper than having something made up?

I'll just get new headers made with the 4-2 collectors as close to the outlets as I can and the 2-1 box just below the oil filter. It'll be a bitch for filter changes but hey ho.

The situation being as it is right now, it's going to have to be a road bike with daytime MOT or it won't get used this year. My racing season has gone tits up due to being out of work at the mo. Hopefully I'll have a job by the end of next week but I'll be playing catch up for a while.

Anyway, decided to take advantage of the good weather and get the fairings fitted properly (apart from actually bolting in the seat unit, still trying to figure the best way to do it). As it stands now, all I need is a new screen, brake light and to replace the fork seals to pass MOT. Then I'll look at a new rear shock when I've got some money.

The alu plates have since been covered with HD foam. The two bolts you see on the front piece are holding a reinforcing bar underneath

Homemade undertray cost feck all  Bolts will be replaced with stainless when I can get some

The gap at the front will be filled in and I'm filling the gap on my spare tank cover

A margerine tub lid is the ideal size template for a battery cover

The plate hanger is fitted to the rear undertray bolts so it can be easily removed for track use

Got the seat unit fitted properly now. All I need to do for MOT is fit a brake light & horn and change the fork seals.

I'm also doubtful if the front tyre will pass or not. Depth is about 1.2mm but I've noticed a couple of cracks inside the tread :|

It might go through with a warning, tyres are 1mm min for a bike.
If everything else is ok it will help
