Yes mate, it was running pretty hot at anglesea 3/4 of the way round and nipping close to the red when riding through the paddock after the session.

Cooling is always good.

If you cant get the ZXR rad to fit well enough what about an R6 rad? I'm sure they are a common mod

Billy what year rad is it? Only reason why I ask is because 05/06 ones were smaller than earlier models so if you have got the earlier type and it's too big you may be able to get away with the smaller (but still bigger than the CBR) rad.

No idea mate all I know is it's from a ZXR400, by fitting this if it's to big I will at least know what size I can go to and you never know I may be lucky.

So finally picked up the CBR stem that has been fitted to the RVF yoke and with much grease and meesing about I finally have the front end fitted to the bike..

much carnage...

Image

Finally..

Image

Ive yet to fit the clip ons etc as I was more concerned today about that rad, so with a compression strap in place I would the forks down until I could wind no more.

Image

but alas.....

Image

I marked the point where it touched just to see how much play there would be

Image

and took the strap off to see how much travel there was

Image

and I just dont think there will be enough, worse thing is I recon this would have worked with standard CBR forks in the standard positions, RVF forks are 10mm shorter than CBR and I used to drop my forks 10mm through the yoke so it works out the same for me.

A real shame as I just cant see any way round this problem other than actually getting hold of a HRC system.

so I'm feeling a bit meh....still at least the forks are on.
