Re: Bike Has Been DYNO'd on RES (reserve)
Cant Believe it
bike ran (kinda) okay for all today a few miles on it maybe 10,,
then when i had work tonight at 7. it started up fine,.
when i finished work at 12.30 (the bike is stood outside the restaurant/bar i work in)
the bike would hardly start, it took a few mins on me trying to start her up, with Choke etc etc, i thought my battery was going to die, but i kept trying, finally i got her started, waited a min before i set off, and when i set off there was no Crisp response or power, and after my first set of traffic lights through town, it was soooo SLow and back firing and Struggling, was horrible,, cant explain what the back firing was like..
it wasnt untill i got literlal 1/2 a mile from home when bie kwas kinda okay. ;(
why is this ???????????? my dad obv telling me to get in touch with the man who Fecked it up (didnt even fix it for £150)
this is just me, but i feel like the bike isnt starting because of the sheer Cold ??? is this nonsense ?? or might this effect the Fuel or carbs etc /?? air ???/ i dont know, but it always seems dodgey when my bike has been left several hours outside in the cold till 11pm - 1am in morning.
any more help ;(
btw i re fitted that Snorkel
thanks people, this is so Upsetting for me,, especialy when i thoguth i paid some body to fix it

Re: Bike Has Been DYNO'd on RES (reserve)
your now answering your own questions adam.
the solution is simple.
go to the dyno/tuner, mention this site as ask for your money back or for him to sort it properly. and tell him to come on here for advice with regards to getting things right.

well we are all still waiting for you to tell us the jet sizes we cant make any assumptions until you tell us or find out from him.
why not give us the address of the tuner, and someone more technical than my self (MARK) could ring and discuss sorting it out properly?

Also while you are checking things, might be worth checking the main 30A fuse and teh regulator/rectifier. I had odd running issues similar to what you are explaining and it turned out to be the Reg/Rec.

Re: Bike Has Been DYNO'd on RES (reserve)
Hi Butler,
The Fuse wouldn't make the bike backfire, but if it is corroded or been damaged by high current passing through it, it may be affecting the current in the electrical system. (this is just a thought and i am sure someone (NEO or CMSMJ1) will correct me if i am way off the mark).
The reg/rec is used to convert AC current from the genny to DC current to charge the battery, if it is fecked, you could have your battery running flat, or really struggling under load i.e. when you have been riding for a while then accelerate hard or switch the lights on and indicators. Reg/rec issues are very common on these bikes.
Do you have a multi meter for testing electrics? if not might be worth adding one to your tool kit, they are invaluable, and about £10 from B+Q or the like.
If you do a search on here for regulator and rectifier issues, or something similar you will find out how to test it, or look in teh heinz manual
You will be an expert on these bike before long butler
