not yet dude i shall do it this sat, and trouble shoot any problems only problems i may encounter could be the kill switch and starter.

Quick update the engine case bolts all changed to A2 Stainless Allen Key Nuts

Is the hole a drain for water that's got into the plug hole?

What size tyre has been run on this to get this damage this is the swing arm side of the tyre!
im running 150 BT92s and havent done this its miles of that tray

thanks dave hopefully going for a small ride saturday just to make sure all is ok before i embark on my wintery challenge to northwales next weekend!

someone at some point must have run a large tyre on that bike or a different wheel id love to know the history of this bike of what former owners have done, and what they would think of my restoration.

only suggested shock as i had an old undertray and subframe that had similar damage on r/h side of tray worn through on the corner edge of the little tray next to the coolant res. only thing i could think that would have caused it was a shock bottoming out and the subframe was askew, never found out but as you said every possibility its been done with an oversized tyre at some time in the past. enjoy your ride :smile:
