				mmmmmmm,
im liking the light weight can hanger

i imagine you have a proper 1 somewhere waiting to be fitted.
as for your rads, they are in loads better condition than mine, and mine doesn't overheat, so dont worry about it. :)

hmmm what next.....
hows about the best and most fun DIY..the rear hub?

Might not look pimp but it is satisfying to know it is not seized and is greased to perfection.
Head bearings too - get them greased up.
A bike that looks good but is in poor mechanical fettle is a waste of effort...

dude thats not harry potter!!! its a team creation le mans poster, signed by all the drivers (my dad went to le mans and blagged a pair of paddock passes from a guy we knew who was in a support race, the teams my favorite le mans team cos they are true privateers (and english).
they had just crashed out and all the drivers were asleep in their big camper thing, my dad got a poster knocked on the door and woke them all up asking them to sign it lol

yeh the original is being polished up, but i may be getting a carbon one when this mounths wages come in,

how do i go about servicing the rear hub? the bike had a full service 100 miles ago that included cleaning the carbs and checking valve clearances, what else would people recomend I do?
Once i get the big socket from ebay (in the post) il be taking the top yoke off to be stripped and resprayed so I could do the head bearings then if you recomend?

I would test fit your fairings over that bottle - it might need to be moved around slightly.
Also, if you have not heated it up yet - go and fill it with pretty hot water..some bottles shirnk when hot..and it would suck if it did it when on the bike

Ref the rear hub - Most have never been touched and cause ballache when adjusting the chain and the swingarm will be full of shite. Well worth doing, easy too - have a look in the Haynes and get a 46mm socket and get busy!
Looking good mate but the mechanics of a bike make it good, not the fancy bits..

   ...although thye do look cool

Your reservoir might foul the front y plate when you put the fairings back on.
Not sure about the preload adjusters personally.

yeh i got the crank breether from work from£8.50 (staff discount), could get someone else one if they want

cheers for the advice about positioning, i thought it would be ok because tyag recomend putting it in the same place on the other side and i figured bike was symetrical and it would be easier with it all on one side,
the car in the background is a 1962 austin healey 3000 mk2tri carb and it my dads, she's lush but a bit of step down in performance terms from his last car (morgan +8, 0-60 3.8 seconds and it looks like its 60 years old :D ), last weekend the bike had to rough it outside as my godfather came round and parked his ferrari 550 marranelo in the garage (dad and himwent to le man classic together)
here she is in full
