Had a few hours spare so started fettling with the carbs and filtration.
Popped over to Rick's to pick up some filter foam, gives a lovely growl when you crack the throttle. Surprisingly it only took around an hour to find the perfect jetting:

Not sure what though. Don't want to spend stupid money on it. Thinking RS250 clocks, ZXR400 USD's and so on.

keep the RWU forks, i've never seen the need to swap the forks other than for looks.
if it were my bike i'd swap the pillion seat for a cowl or the whole seat unit for a solo item painted up to stock colours, and if i went the solo unit way i'd swap the sub frame for one of ricks.
