yea its not my ssytem. i have a carbon fiber heat shield but itve not installed it yet as im taking it to the mechanics tomorrow for gasket change... to keep labour times down :P. i have just bought a new battery so it should hopefully work...i tested my current battery today after jumping it and its going crazy...litterally its like 10v. and then jumpos to 14v. and then 12.45...etc etc. its jumping crazy and obviously my alternator is charging it as its decreasing and increasing... im guessing this isnt good for the alternator either.... any so im just gonna assume my alternator is in fine working condition.... my new battery will be arriving either tomorrow on saturday if not monday the latest. i shall post the results then see how it goes !!

Worst thing you can do is to assume anything.

Do the proper tests so you know exactly what is and isn't broken and needs replacing.

It sounds like you have bad connections for a start on either the multimeter or the battery.

Running even a new battery with a broken altenator / reg-rec and destroy the battery in a few minutes.
