bought one of those hi-flow filters from rick O. to me it looks like a less flow , its got all sorts of mesh and round holed mesh too on its underside!! are these ment to be more hi-flow than a standard honda filter or is it just the brand name!? cos its got HI-FLOW on the box! lol seriouse though.....dont look hi flow to me. please any tips on it before i fit it, wanted something to lean out the 124 mains i was running. without changing the jetting right now.

brought my self one of these hi flow filters of rick around 12 weeks ago and been running it since with no probs , as for hi flowing ive notice its a wee bit more flowing then stock honda filter but not a great amount , as i am runing 120 and 122 , but took ricks advice and did a little mod to the air box under tray and it helped to lean it out a bit but still not perfect , so not as hi flow as they say , hope thats any use to ur .

thats is a bit mate cheers, my carbs where running 124s all round so i swopped the rears over for 122s but left the fronts as they were but thought id add some extra air just to help causes, i checked the rear plugs before i swopped and they where dark, rich. yet to look at the front ones but soon as i get 5 i will. iv just smootherd the rubbers in 4t oil and put bags round them with some rubber bands to hold them on, a few days to sweat and they should loosen up a bit.

so i finaly poped my carbs back on other day after having them off for about 4 weeks, the old sandwich bag with rubber band worked a treat with keeping the rubbers supple, popped straight on

front valve clearances were all in check too

winner. got a genuine oil filter to fit now and some fresh fuel and will hopfully start her up next week sometime, lets hope its as smooth as it was befor i took it apart lol
carbs are running
fronts 124s
rear swopped for 122s(were running 124s)
uk carbs
airscrew 2 turns out, i live at sea level.
free flow air filter fitted, the old one seemed after market but it didnt have the gullz/mesh the free flow has on its underside!? looked like someone had torn it off, the mounting bungs had been snapped off where the free flow ones are fixed, the filter was also white!? maybe just old.
just need to refill coolnt and get her running, then drop oil and refill. is it 2.4 litre if im dropping oil and changing filter to put back in?

Haynes says..........
oil change = 2.4 litre
oil + filter change = 2.5 litre
following engine overhaul, dry engine = 3 litre
Coolant, rad and engine = 2.1litre
Coolant Reservoir = 0.2litre
