A guy called Drew mate, better know as Mori Man :) I thought it was quite cheap, I missed a dented one on ebay for £140, this will stand me about £250 all in and it looks to be in fantstic condition :) I saw one of those DIC Alu systems on there, started at well over £200! This would have been £211 plus the post to the UK fter Drew had taken his cut etc

I had a long convo with Graeme France earlier, top man, anyone with a CBR should definately call him as he really really knows his stuff! Couldn't have been more helpful (which reminds me after posting this he needs some karma  ) I'm going to start modding the CBR for track duties when the shed is finished, I'll begin by stripping down to the frame and engine and go from there. I'll let you know what's going on as soon as something happens with it :D

Cheers mate :D I'm now waiting on it being sent out from Japan, and will be paying for bits from GF tomorrow :) I have ordered an Ignitech with Rick O, and will be collecting wen it comes in  also trading a suspension link for a short oil filter, and will be getting a set of rads as soon as I can afford them :D

Track bike mate, I'll be getting a set of race fairings from Mr France as his are woven mat, not chopped strand so will stand up to the abuse of tracking a lot better (chopped strand tends to explode when in a crash, woven mat will flex a bit)

I'm going to have it sprayed in plain white to begin with and will get some decals made up to give it a period race replica paint scheme with my racing number of 220 on it :D

Cool sounds good. Got any plans for any other race/trick parts?

I keep thinking of buying the Kenso carb needle kit from japan but wonder if it is any good. Its not cheap though at over £200!

I haven't got many concrete plans right now, I'm still trying to get the NC30 perfect, so this is one of those 'as and when' projects tbh. What I have got/got planned so far is;

-BEET Ti System
-GF HRC Replica short velocity stacks
-GF Foam race filter
-Dynojets to suit the above
-NC30 Fork lowers with Racetech internals (possibly going to have them done by GF)
-NC30 brake calipers with EBC HH pads, these were fitted to my NC30 and were fantastic, totally solid lever which was more than capable of putting the bike on it's nose
-Fibreglass track bodywork from GF
-Some form of aftermarket rear shock, probably Hagon or whatever GF recommends
-Reground cams by Kent
-17 inch wheels, whether they're NC29 or NSR250 MC21 depends whats about

I might eventually think about a programmable CDI and total loss, but it's all money and I'm not too fussed, the above spec will be fine, Graeme says to expect about 64-65bhp with just the pipes, filter and inlet stacks and a near perfect power curve. Also he said to expect another couple of bhp from the cams, which is a bonus :D Don't think I'm going 'POWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWERPOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' I'll be focusing on the suspension and brakes later, but while I have half of the engine stuff here I might aswell get it sorted in one go, like I will be with the forks, I'll buy new seals and bushes when I fit the new lowers.

Oh re: the needles, GF has said that the stock ones should be fine for now, although you're running NC29 carbs so may need them if your getting problems. I'd give GF a call before deciding to buy them, he may be able to suggest a solution at a much better price :peace:

I'm picking up the Ignitech on friday morning, I've decided on the emissions dipless +2 degrees advance map as the NC30 isn't high enough spec to warrant the HRC map. I'm also picking up an RVF engine from edg on sunday, so will think about swapping the exhaust cams over :P

Sounds good will look forward to seeing how you get on.

Can you get programmable CDI's for the NC23?
