I'll have you know Gertie is feeling very loved at the moment as her arse has finally been reunited with her torsoe and head after being stuck in the shed for over 8 months

I managed 121 miles on the 916 yesterday to work and back - which ain't bad, as i only work 15 miles away. After I parked her up last night I was convinced that the 916 was coming to Germany.
Picked up the keys for the R1 for todays ride in, with a bit of 916 riding position memory still in my muscles, the R1 was like an old pair of your favorite shoes - a far more easier riding position, and now I'm in two minds again.
'FFS' .................. I'm worse than a woman :D

Not to favour one bike over the other but the Termi shod 916 will have a hard time getting a lap or 2 in at the 'Ring. I spoke with a friend a little while ago and they said that twins do get picked on and have examples made out of them with noise restrictions. Thank God Sliders has a standard can for my bike in his garage should they say no to my Akra.

thats a good point i've gone back to standard and i'm sure if remembering last year all the dukes and tl's we saw were wearing standard cans but alot of the il4 crowd had aftermarket with the baffle in.

My bike will probably have a heavy original can on it this time, but I've been been a baffled fuel can before (mangled during last summers highside) and had no problems. The first time I went on the 400 I had a loud Art race can on, but it was mid-week and quiet there, so they tend to be a bit more lenient. When it's really busy they often start to get the sound meters out.
I do agree that a twin with loud pipes will almost deffo get singled out. Saw a bloke last summer get turned away on a TL without having even got through the barriers for a single lap.
