We race mostly in winter over here due to 'more important' events booking the tracks up through summer :roll: It is track day season though 8-)

lol - I never knew you pair were brothers..or are we talking homies.. ;)

It is 4 inch deep in snow here and I have got a 7hr round trip to go collect a k1 thou for a mate.

I wish we had some sunshine :(

LOL we're brothers brothers man... !

During summer it's too hot to race a lot of the time, much better in winter. I've done plenty of track days in 35-40C+ and it's very draining both physically and mentally.

Well, after a 12 hour round trip to collect her, I took her for a run today.

Gotta say, it's another world from mine or Cammo's race bike, but very well mannered on the road! A pleasure really. Got quite a few looks too ('what the f@#k is that thing!? The lights are weird'). Not sure about the NC35 carbs though? Seems a tad down on power, but very tractable. I'll get used to them I spose. Starts a treat, which is a bonus 8-)

I forgot how painful NC30s are at town speed :o It's been that long since I've ridden one on the road!

I'll find some nice scenery and take some pics. Five weeks holdidays to organise that mission :mrgreen:

You've done a good job on it Cammo, considering the budget :up: Very nice.

Agreed, although its tuned well it really doesn't excite me the way my racebike does.

I put it down to the fact that the rvf carbs smooth the powerband out somewhat on the roadbike, where as the full monty nc30 hrc carbs on the racebike give it a big whack of power up top in the rev range. That and the horsepower difference.

Like you say though, the rvf carbs are more useable on the road.

Oh, noticed when you took delivery of the bike that part of a 'Force V4' sticker had come off, will post you over a spare.

Thought I'd post an update of my roadbike.

I wanted the bike to look original(ish!) so I bought a set of chinese panels off ebay. Plenty of criticism aimed at them on here but to be honest they're not too bad for the price, they've transformed an old track hack into a decent looking roadie. Finding original sets of fairings in Oz is impossible.

I'm not sure how they'll hold up over time, I wouldn't want to leave them in the sun for too many Aussie summers I don't think.

There's still a bit of work left to do to finish the fairings off, and I have an yamamoto system lying around - though I'm pretty keen to keep the stock rvf system on there because it's so easy to bolt on the standard (quiet!) muffler.

Basic spec:
- Racetech fork internals, new seals & bushes
- SP1 front calipers, 600rr m/c
- Drilled dogbone to raise rear ride height, nc29 sidestand
- Standard shock
- rvf carbs - jetted, hrc slide springs, short velocity stacks
- rvf exhaust system, chinese carbon can
- Slightly lowered gearing
- Custom made rearsets (some dude in south africa)

I took it for a long ride today to show off its new colours, an enjoyable ride like always.

I sold my racebike a while back, so this is the sole and probably last nc in the garage - it's a keeper!

I've an NC35 system on my NC30 and the sidestand always hits the underside of the pipes when it's retracted. Is this the reason for fitting an NC29 sidestand? It's something I'd love to rectify.

Looks really nice, i see your running modded rvf carbs. What are your thoughts on these compared to nc30 ones.
The reason i ask is that i have both sets (nc30 and 35) modded to run open airbox but unsure which to run on my track bike.
