Haha, no idea mate!
Thought you were using the 71 bottom end but on re reading you swapping to the 73 cases.
Would be workable, ive got a rgv swinger and enough parts to build, wheels, forks, tank, brakes etc.

would be a good laugh.

im building this 494 motor out of the odds and sods ive got lying around.

ive already got a complete set of 2 pac painted cases in factory colors for the proper bike, so this motor is sort of surplus really.

If you still in Crewe I'm sure we can work something.
The 71 frame only weighs about 6lb so super light.

all slotted together perfectly.

my next mission is to figure out how to modify the crank or starter clutch to allow the 73a clutch to fit onto the 71b crank (currently the journal which the clutch gear floats on is too large a diameter and the taper is too long.

hopefully its as simple as cutting 15mm off the end of the crank, grinding down the journal diameter and re grinding the taper on.

just as an aside, if anyone's interested in this, the conversion gears can be for sale. bar the clutch gear, pretty much everything else for this project can be bought second hand and / or modified.

Should be that simple mate, allowing for a key slot for location.
More importantly is the Genny what you doing with that?

thats an interesting question!

i laid all the parts out on my bench and looked at them, then scratched my head, then looked at them again. then went to get some tea.

i may have a bit of an idea but i'm not really sure yet.

i'll be using the gsxr 1000 genny anyway.

I had a good look when Bart was trying to do the conversion on banditalley and my thinking is swap everything and use one of the genny/starter combo's on the left then mount only the trigger on the right.
Cbr 125 may work BUT you'd have to make sure it was a left side part due to the sprag only working in one direction.
