Re: Cadwell 3rd and 4th August TD weekend
Got this message back from CBT:
Morning Oliver,
Mmm now you have asked a question we have never come across,i think
that if you have a 33bhp licence you have passed your test but you just
are restricted for a while,i will ask our instructors today but they are
working with the BSB today at Brands Hatch so i probably wont have an
answer till late this evening or tomorrow morning,we are ok with your
licence but it is down to our instructors say so,
Ill get back to you asap
Thanks Rob
Instructors discretion then I guess.

Problem being that MSV don't "usually" let restricted licences on the track.
I hope they do let you out!

Let me know how you get on with the discount. I might be up for this. I did one of theirs last year at Donington with my nc30 (now gone) Unless you opt for novice group, they tend to put the 400's in with the two stroke group, so take a gas mask.
If i come i'll be on the 95 TRX850.
They take bookings for later bikes if they are "within the spirit of the classic bike theme" Certainly a bike that was built before 95 but continued on after would be included.
I'll keeep an eye on this now and see where it goes. I did cadwell last friday at 5 deg and it was still brilliant fun.

Thanks for the offer but you can buy them on ebay for less than a tenner. I do have an RX7 Spencer which is stickered up ok but I don't want to risk damaging it as it's signed by the man himeslf.
Do they go on the age of the helmet as well as I have a few lids that have stickers on but they're about 10 years old.

The ACU sticker should have a record number issued by the ACU. The ebay ones definitely wont. You can take a helmet to the ACU in rugby and they will add an official sticker for £5. I had them put one on my schubert C2 Flip last year.
Having said that the trackday companies dont seem to check things like that, but if you pay £150 for a trackday you dont really want to lose that for the sake of a £5 sticker eh?

They do not check anything like that. It is not a race. There is no scrutineering.. Well, in the 60 odd TDs I have done, I have never had to confirm I have an ACU gold helmet...
You would expect compulsory back protectors and one piece leathers too...

If we dont get enough for a group discount ill be booking this at the end of this month or maybe next. Im going to be heading up on the friday, camping doing the TD and camping again on saturday night will be good to have a few beers with you lot on saturday night.
Nige i think you will be ok on your 916, im told they are pretty relaxed on the rules if the bike is in the spirit of the event, probably worth giving them a call or email to ask.
