I'm doing both at the same time, got to the point with the electrics where I'm now waiting on plugs and stuff.

Carbs I'm getting somewhere but still confusing. It's just a good job I have a charger so my battery doesn't go flat

Reread your first post and wondering why you think you have a charging problem. If 13.2 volts is low, have you seen higher and if so when and how much?

Seen much higher after I did the charging system wiring upgrade a while ago.

I was getting 14.9 at idle and the same again at 5k rpm.

According to electrosport, anything over 14.8 is not good.

Honda also spec that you should have a Honda generator and regulator and a stock battery not a lithium ion one.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the figues as long as they are not wildly out of spec... ie 18v.

Freuqnet stop / starts without a full recharge of the battery will cause it die though, especially if youve been struggling to get it started, could have flattened the battery off.

As I said first though, sort the wiring out properly, everything should be soldered not crimped, use the appropriate gauge wire and if in doubt run a new -ve from the reg/rec directly to the battery.

What gauge wire should I be using Neo?

This is something that is usually lost on me.
Plus I don't really want to be spending loads on a reel of wire I only need a metre or so of, which is why I nicked some triple core house wire from my dads electrics box and used that as it seemed hefty enough to do the job but not too big to cause problems.

triple core house wire? As in electrical flex? Did you use this as the 3 yellow wire replacement?

2mm square should be fine for most things.
