Yeah true, I'm not keen on the brackets but my cheep track toy iron fast turning into alot of money's worth which I'm pretty sure will get thrown down the road.
I'm also tempted to re frame it into my spare frame with v5 and a daylight mother.

lol - stop spending on it and ride it first.. You may not take to being nailed down every straight..and get rid for a 600 asap you get into TDs... It happens a lot!
Though, to be then keeping the bikes who have such a top speed and acceleration advantage, on a "mere" (though sorted) 400, is great.

It's all bits I have in the garage from the oki, I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon, as you well know there addictive little buggers. My biggest issue is finding the time to get out in the garage and work on it.

How did you find being blown away on a 400, Alex?
You've done TD on 675 too now..I bet your times were not much different and that it was "easier" to play out in the TD inters*
*I assume you went inters on the 675...

I was inters on both the 400 and 675, I also ran a few fast sessions as I'm bossing lap times quicker than Rossi blud.
There's a 15 second gap between the two bikes, give it take 1-2 seconds (think I was running 2m15/2m30 approx).
I love the 400 on track, yet I prefer the 675 if I'm honest. However, with some Corsas and sexy suspension on the 400 I reckon the times will be a little closer.

Interesting blud!
I get ya, innit!
Wasn't getting the digs....but we'll sort the chest beating on track..lol
400s on track are cool, but faster bike scan be much cooler..that is all I was making. If Marcus spunks money for no point on the trackbike it is a bad call. get the time on track, get over being spanked by anyone on a 600 or more down the straights.
I reckon the best trackbike, apart from my racebike - different animal - was the YZF750 I had ages ago.

Well the front end has been swapped , and the 3/4 system fitted .
I also just bought a pair of 3.5" and 5" pvm 3 spoke wheels, they were a good price although wether I needed them of not is another matter.
With regards to spending money on the track bike I don't see it as any different from spending a shit load on the oki that I had , thing was I never wanted to use that for fear of damaging it , where as with the track bike I want something that I can tinker with , have the nice parts on but not a silly amount moneys worth of body work.
By breaking that I have been able to buy the track bike , steel some bits from it and build up nearly all the bits to build myself a very nice standard type 6 as well .
I'd really love a 675 but at the moment I am happy to learn on the nc and If I smash it to a million pieces I have half an idea with working on them and more than like have the bits I need in the garage to fix it.
