That won't account for it only revving to 2500 rpm, it will still hit redline on only 2 cylinders.

I'd guess you have a serious issue, sounds like a big end failure to me.

no point with a bike that looks good and doesn't go.

My tuppence is on shagged big end bearings - apart from blowing my race bike up by a vlaves to piston interface - all the dead NC engines I have seen (and had) are big end failures due to low oil.

you need to get your hands on some tools too - rotating the motor with a 14mm socket lets you feel the resistance nicely, using a spanner does not give you that.

I agree with you .

I think I’m over the whole HRC/Tyga thing. I will get the bike running stock . Maybe Replace the engine if its cheaper. Extra money will go into either a KLR 650 or a new car or my race bike (Body kit needs work). If anyone has winning Lotto Numbers for me your welcome to pm them.

But I like this forum. All the British colonies working together hehe.

I'm learning allot as well. and Sorry if I sound like another Scottish member here hehe. I'm a bit of a know it all at times :grin:


As for the socket to rotate the motor. I've already bought one today. Only used the spanner to see if I could actually get the engine to turn without too much force.

As said above would wager that it's the big end bearings. I have a track bike that along with a modded tap and sticking float valve diluted the engine oil with fuel. Top End cams etc appear ok it runs but has developed a noise similar to what you've described its hard to locate exact source but seems to be coming from the crankcase area between the v which would back up what cmmsj1 and cammo are saying.
