Thanks for clarification. On the parts list fiche on cmsnl I see no.2 which shows a gasket l cover. I made the assumption that this was also needed for this mod (I already have all other bits and pieces).

@Benny, Neo,
so I've got the nc21 master cylinder, slave cylinder and sprocket cover all here. What needs to be done to the sprocket cover to still attempt to fit the speedo drive? It's for fitting on my NC35 project. Or do I need to remove it and use something else for a speedo? And is it the VTR firestorm or SP1 hydraulic clutch line that I need?

You can't fit a speedo drive, need to run a wheel speed sensor like on a digital dash (koso, translogic etc.)
NC21 hydraulic clutch line.

Alright. I have the original nc21 clutch line with the parts i have sbut will order a new one being more flexible to route.
I am considering an AiM for some time and had another look at Translogic...and noticed that their new MD4 is due out soon. Both will solve the speedo. AIM is only priced twice as much the Translogic.

Not heard of AIM, I run an MD3 and am happy with it. Track use only so the wheel speed sensor is only for the gear sensor(which I need to calibrate!)

Have see the AIM MXL a couple of times live on Michael's bike, this one:
I would use the dash (aim or translogic) on the project bike and intented for both road and track use.

Just to throw in another alternative idea is to use a front wheel driven speedo drive, might need the matching speedo too but bound to be some compatible 17" front wheels out there that were driven off the front wheel, not sure if oyu can retrofit one to a stock front wheel, not something ive looked into.

ZXR400 front end... With ZXR speedo. Could still run the NC tachometer.
Sounds nice

I wouldn't bother at all with a zxr400 front end unless it was the multi-adjustable SP front end.
go crazy and fit a 130/70/-16 fireblade front wheel

I'll stick with my plan for a nice dash.
