Its on the side of the tyre mate, it will read something like 0711 which mean manufactured in july 2011

mine were coming from Germnay too
quite often tyre manufacturers use the format like this;- 4811 would be week 48 of 2011

Well the releasing agent is also an ozone protector, so the tyre doesn't start deteriorating until its been scrubbed in, ive checked them over they look ok to me, my old front was made in 08 and has lasted 4 years todate so the new front i should hope will be ok.

Im in a catch 22 need them on so i can get bike moted other wise itll be another £29.65 and ill need to sorn the bike, as tax is due on Wednesday next week this tyre has tottally fucked me up.

Has anybody got experience of riding all through winter? The only time I have done this was when I had a KTM640 with Avon Pro-Xtreme Rain racing wets (which are road legal on supermotos) and could hammer it through the bends even on icy roads!! When I had my R6 (on pilot powers) I would have been doing 5mph with both feet down praying to the gods for mercy.

I am currently looking for an NC30 and when bought the car will have to go so winter riding will be happening!
I would like the confidence the PXR's gave me but obviously on a race style bike I will always be more cautious than on the KTM.

Last winter i had bt92 rear and 090 front fitted, did me fine when riding in -13 for 25 miles at 2am just have to be careful i wouldnt reccomend riding an NC30 in the winter though too small to keep out of the cold wind.

I need a new front tyre for my NC30 and wondered what everyone would recommend? I will probably go with either a BT92 or BT090 (I have a BT92 rear which is almost new)
I will be using it through winter cos the car had to go to fund the bike ;)
Which of these tyres will be best for cold damp weather?
