Super bike. F3 bikes are always so cool. When I got my F3 NSR 250 back from Japan it also had the Suzuki stickers all over the frame. Don't wash it mind as they tend to peal off.

Thought i'd join in on the thread as the bikes only about 50km from my house at the moment.

It's a proper Honda factory built race bike, everything is custom, no 'NL0' etc kit parts that were later made available to the public to buld 'HRC' spec bikes, this work was all done in the factory as one-offs for the bike.

The ignition box is interesting, has a giant socketed (removable) eprom in in, somebody could do with dumping it to a computer and looking at how it's set-up.

Plastics and panels are super-light... they were formed by Honda for the bike and are as thin as paper (consequently as light)

The empty tank weighs nothing, you can fling it around with one finger.. I was quite shocked.

The bike itself although I havn't weighed it feels very much like an MC22 (CBR250RR) easy to pick up and fling around.

But the bit people want to know.. how does it sound and run?

Well, bump starting it is a doddle, fires up straight away... (the gearbox is reverse pattern / race-shift as to be expected)

The exhaust is quiet and deep at idle (which is 3-4k (tacho starts at 3k))

Anyhow.. crack it into first and it pulls away smooth, open the throttle and it feels like a modern 600cc fuel injected CBR600rr... or at the very least a FCR flat-slided race 600...

Throttle response is very quick, the bike picks up like a whippet... to make things worse (for the neighbours) the seemingly quite exhaust bursts into life around 6000rpm and emits a deafening roar (very motogp sounding)

I was quite taken aback by it.. the first thing I said to Drew (Moriwaki man) after having a wee spin is that I couldn't believe the bike was 21 years old... it starts and rides like a new bike, and pulls like a train.

I've ridden 400's in the low 70's hp and this felt like it'd blow them all away.

I think becuase it's quite a bit lighter than a stock bike is why it feels so good.

Anyhow, was very impressed with it and i'm sure you'll be well pleased, treat it to a new set of slicks and get it on the track :D

Also if anyone knows how to hook up a CDI to the computer to check the map on it id love to know how to, I have another non standard NC23 CDI here that I'd like to check too but I'm clueless when it comes to this.

And yes it definately will de dyno'd once its in the UK
