Looking forward to seeing them finished Kris. The 3MA TZR is my favourite 250 along with the MC18 NSR. Such a pretty bike.

micpec wrote:Kris, your project bike is simply (and again) stunning!!! You and also Paul (crm) make me thinking of getting an 2-stroker too  Last night I talked to my brother about 2-strokers....and he is also into this idea. Who knows what this might lead to... The only thing that puts me a bit off it the amount of work/rebuilds and also money that goes in such bike. What sort of budget is sort of required with the general maintenance of 250's 2-strokes...?

Hi Jas.

Crank rebuilds are pretty pricey but everything else isn't bad at all. But it really depends what you spend initally on a bike. If you buy a project to get it looking really nice you will probably spend as much as buying a mint bike in the Long run . The only advantage of buying a project is you know its all done properly and you get to know the way the bike works! Downside is it's very time consuming!

Yeah they look very cool don't they. Looking forward to getting it finished but need more parts to continue, and I'm at work now for 5 days! :(
